A. Ramana is the spiritual name of D. W. Trammell, an American follower of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879–1950), one of the greatest Teachers in all of human history, who lived in South India on Arunachala, a holy mountain that is the embodiment of Shiva, or the Absolute. In some mystical way, thanks to some inexplicable meeting with a photograph of Sri Ramana in 1973, A. Ramana received Enlightenment. He established himself in this experience by using Self-Inquiry, which, according to Sri Ramana, is the most immediate and direct means of Self-Realization, or man's Awareness of his true and true divine nature - Existence-Consciousness-Bliss. After his transformative experience, A. Ramana founded (in 1978 ) AHAM (the Association of Happiness for all Mankind, Association of Happiness for all Mankind), a non-profit spiritual and educational organization (AHAM in Sanskrit means the true “I.”) Its goal is to spread the practice of Self-Inquiry and the pure teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi throughout the world. Now AHAM has an excellent spiritual training center in the USA (North Carolina). He also owns a new modern ashram in South India at the foot of the holy mountain of Arunachala, not far from Sri Ramanasramam. This book presents the teachings of AHAM, based on A. Ramana's own experience, in a lively and accessible way. In the same vein, the book offers the most specific methods developed by A. Ramana and based on Self-Enquiry.
