In the forests of Wolf Valley, goblins rule, drowned women live in the lakes, and ghosts and ghouls roam at night. This is a secluded region that was once owned by werewolves, but now all that remains of them are terrible tales and the ruins of a fortress in the forests. Here, every village has a guardian, but the last one died in a battle with evil spirits, and now his adopted daughter, the herbalist Venda, is obliged to protect the local residents - only she does not have enough experience or age for such a burden. But she has no choice, and now she not only cares about people, but also struggles with her own fears, doubts and encroaching madness due to the enormous responsibility. And then there is a rumor that Da Verne, the last werewolf whom everyone thought was dead, is returning to the valley.
