An interesting story - naive in form and too hot and romanticized in content. One thing is clear - the young hero Mikhailik was unlucky that he ended up in the UPA detachment and went not along the path of creation, but along the path of destruction. It is also clear that the aunts fed the “people from the forest” and gave their cows to their kryivkas not of their own free will... This is what a good life the Soviet government created for the people, that the aunt could go to church, and a letter to Mikhailik’s mother can send and get an answer... “One Sunday my aunt went to church. The house was clean and quiet, the spring sun streamed through the windows. On the window, stretched out lazily, a cat purred. The white butterfly, thinking that it was already summer, tried to escape through the glass into the street. Misha pulled out paper, pen and ink from the chest, laid it all out in front of him and, bowing his head to the side, began to write letters.” But everything is not right for him - he is drawn to the forest... Contradictory... Makes you think... It seems that in Ukraine this story is included in the school literature curriculum...
