The monograph by Professor Yu. M. Galenovich tells about the life and work of Jiang Zhongzheng, known in our country as Chiang Kai-shek, one of the leaders of China in the 20th century, the successor of the founding father of the Republic of China Sun Yat-sen, the leader of China during World War II war, the head of the Kuomintang Party of China, first, for a quarter of a century, in mainland China, and then also for a quarter of a century on the island of Taiwan. The book is part of a series of works by the author under the general title “Leaders of China in the 20th Century,” consisting of the following four monographs: “Jiang Zhongzheng, or the unknown Chiang Kai-shek”: “Mao Zedong and his relatives”; "The Death of Liu Shaoqi"; “Journey to the Homeland of Deng Xiaoping.”
