Pátik-Empatik lives in complete harmony with nature in the distant future. His peculiarity is that he feels everything he sees and hears. In the first story of the series, Patik learns how his beloved Earth became ill due to the indifference and selfishness of the leeches that lived on it in former times. In the second story, Pathik-Empathik goes into the forest and learns from the trees how their worldwide underground network was destroyed, and who saved them from thoughtless cutting down. In the third story, Patik-Empatik goes on a sea voyage and hears from the dolphins a story about how the leeches became addicted to the degraded suckers, and what came of it. This is followed by a philosophical tale in which a small seed explains to the mature trees of the forest why it does not want to germinate. In the fifth story, Patik-Empathic travels back in time to bring his little friends out of the terrible reality of the leech trees. In the last story, Pathik-Empathik travels through the dreams of those same leeches, trying to teach them to respect nature and each other.
