Josh Ryder was photographing an important delegation in Rome when an explosive device went off nearby. He did not die, but his familiar world was shattered into pieces. Now Josh lives in different times, under different names. He has not one destiny, but three, and they are intricately intertwined. In fifth-century AD Rome, he is a pagan priest who must save his beloved from being buried alive. In the nineteenth century, he, an American student, was poisoned by his uncle, and this crime must be solved. Nowadays, remaining a journalist, Ryder tries to understand what is happening to him and avoid death at the hands of mysterious killers seeking to change the course of history.
