Книга "Мікеланджело" Олександра Махова - це не просто біографія видатного художника, а справжнє занурення в епоху Відродження, яке дозволяє зрозуміти не лише творчість, але й особистість цього великого майстра. Автор майстерно поєднує факти з життя Мікеланджело з його творчими досягненнями, що робить читання надзвичайно захоплюючим. Я дізнався багато нового про його складний характер, стосунки з contemporaries, а також про ті труднощі, з якими йому доводилося стикатися. Особливо вразила частина, де Махов аналізує поетичні твори Мікеланджело, які, на жаль, часто залишаються в тіні його скульптур і живопису.
