The book is the next edition of the collection “Ancient Sources on the History of Eastern Europe”, dedicated to Old Scandinavian monuments. It publishes two ancient Icelandic works - “The Saga of Halfdan Eysteinsson” and “The Saga of Sturlaug the Hardworking”, which have not previously been translated into Russian and are published in full, as well as fragments of other medieval sources, telling mainly about the Russian North.
