The poem “The Language of Birds” was written in the Nazir tradition, which became widespread in the medieval literature of the Middle East. Nazira is a work created in the form of an imitation response based on the model of some famous and popular work of another author. The creator of the imitation response preserved in his work the main outline of the plot, the images of the main characters, the poetic meter and the nature of the rhyme of the sample source. The object of imitation for Navoi was the poem of the Persian-Tajik poet Farid ad-din Attar “Conversations of the Birds”. CONTENTS: Alisher Navoi. The language of birds.
