"Green Ghosts" is a gothic story by the French writer George Sand (French George Sand, real name Aurora Dudevant, Dudevant (née Dupin, Dupin) 1804-1876). Three ghosts in the guise of green ladies come to predict the future. What is this - a figment of the overheated imagination of the average person or a true story? Among the most famous books of J. Sand are “Little Fadette”, “Indiana”, “Lelia”, “Winter in Mallorca”, “Intimate Diary”, “Marquise”, “Daniella” and Flavia. George Sand is a real phenomenon in classical literature of the 19th century. Challenging the chauvinist society under a male pseudonym, she strengthened the position of women in the artistic environment of her time.
