But the case was real, even somewhat criminal and political, back in 1937, which took place in the Atamai village of the Red Star collective farm, YASSR. However, all characters and surnames have been changed, with the exception of the name of the main character, who passed away quite a long time ago - presumably at the beginning of the 19th century...
