Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, became known throughout the world thanks to the diary she kept in Amsterdam while hiding with her family from the Nazis. In Russia, the book “Refuge. Diary in Letters” has been published four times in recent years by the Text publishing house. In addition to Anna's diary, several dozen of her stories, fairy tales, sketches and even an unfinished novel have been preserved. They compiled this book. “Stories from the Shelter” are written with lively feeling and sincerity, and the literary maturity of their young author is astonishing. It is being published in Russian for the first time.
