On the banks of the Tumenjiang River, scientists discover an ancient temple with frescoes of the Muya people, who disappeared many thousands of years ago, and a box with a mysterious half-bird amulet. The archaeologist gives the find to his daughter Lanxin and goes missing during the next expedition. Years pass, and the girl, either in reality or in a dream, begins to have visions that she is a bird with snow-white plumage, who sings and dances among the snows of the sacred Enigma Mountain, where lives a stern god playing weiqi. By moving black and white stones on the playing board, he decides the destinies of the peoples of ancient China. Lanxin goes in search of his father - and on this mystical journey he finds himself and reveals the secret of Muya music, which once protected the world from terrible troubles.
