The population of the afterlife of the Earth today is about one hundred billion people. They live in the Egyptian Duat and in the Sumerian country of Kurnugi, in the German-Scandinavian Valhalla and in the Christian paradise... Close bilateral ties have always existed between the world of the dead and the world of the living. Zoroastrian priests used drugs to send their ambassadors to the otherworldly kingdom. The sailors Odysseus and Brendan reached it on their ships. Some travelers, like Dante Alighieri, left detailed travel notes. Archeology has made its contribution to the study of the afterlife. Olga Kolobova and Valery Ivanov, writing under the common pseudonym Oleg Ivik, worked for several years on archaeological expeditions in southern Russia. Constantly in contact with the afterlife, they asked themselves the question: what is its political history, culture, geography, flora and fauna?..
