Evgeniy Vesnik, a national artist (both by rank and by recognition), called his memories “I give what I remember.” In them, with his characteristic talent as a brilliant storyteller, he talks about his childhood, his years at the front, his work in theater and cinema, his friends and colleagues, and shares his impressions of numerous theater tours in Germany and Israel, France and Japan. His observations are sometimes impartial, sometimes touching, sometimes sad, sometimes funny, but invariably accurate and optimistic. Even when talking about difficult periods in his biography, the author is full of love of life and sparkling humor, and, what is especially pleasant, he is happy to share it with the reader.
