Years pass, and to my surprise, what was clear in those days is distorted and deformed. It becomes clear that any history requires its chroniclers, and in this light, no one can tell about those events receding in time better than their witnesses or participants. Of course, many lines have been written about the struggle and flight of Jews at the end of the twentieth century from the USSR. But for the most part this was done by dissidents, prisoners of Zion, fighters against the Soviet regime. Without in any way detracting from their courage and resilience, I will say that the majority of Jews who fled from the Soviet Union had nothing to do with anti-Soviet activities. Jewish dissidents were not leaders of the Jewish people. Most Jews were simply Jews seeking to leave the anti-Semitic country of the USSR. This story is the story of one of them.
