This work completes the trilogy “Leningrad in the struggle for survival in the siege”, the first two books of which were awarded the National Award “Best Books and Publishing Houses of the Year - 2015” in the “History” category. The third book is devoted to the events of 1943 after the breaking of the blockade, the least studied. Dramatic and tragic events of 1941-1942. for a long time, for obvious reasons, obscured much of what resulted from their development in 1943. Based on new documentary sources and archival materials published in recent years, as well as on the achievements of the latest historiography, the author seeks to find an objective answer to the main question: why else For almost a year after breaking the blockade, Leningrad was practically in the position of a besieged city, and its residents suffered heavy losses from constant enemy artillery shelling. Why were the troops of the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts, until the fall of 1943, unable to cut off the Mginsko-Sinyavinsky ledge? Leningrad, whose population at that time was 600-650 thousand people, with its selfless work in extreme conditions, helped the army bring closer the day of the complete liberation of the city from the enemy blockade.
