This collection is the first attempt to present the history of the Germans in the Kama region during the Soviet period on the basis of archival documents stored in local archives: state, municipal, departmental, archives of public organizations of Russian Germans “Renaissance” and private individuals. This is a very interesting and still unexplored layer of documents, the composition of which is quite diverse: personal documents, materials from state and party bodies, departmental documents. They tell about the fates of people who, due to historical circumstances, found themselves on Perm land: prisoners of war of the First World War, German engineers and workers of the era of industrialization and, mainly, Soviet Germans mobilized during the Great Patriotic War into the labor army.
