The work was completed in January 2022. This is a holistic study of how modern society develops, based on exhaustive commodity production. One third of the work is a reissue of the work “Man and Economy in a Virtualized World,” published in 2016. The remaining two-thirds are the results of new research in the same direction. Marina Burik talks about how social production “works” and how a person is produced - his will, consciousness, way of life and ways of interacting with other people. The author introduces a number of new concepts, shows how the production of consumption is allocated to a separate sphere of social production, along with the production of means of production and the production of means of consumption. Taking this into account, the reproduction of all social capital is examined. An attempt was also made to trace the logic of the formation of the subject of historical action, the direction and possibilities for the further development of society. The book is intended not only for specialists in the field of social philosophy and political economy, but also for a wide range of readers.
