The award-winning novel by contemporary Canadian-British writer Rachel Cusk (born 1968) consists of ten meetings and conversations. During the unbearably hot summer in Athens, the main character, a famous novelist, teaches a course in creative writing. Her new acquaintances and interlocutors are neighbors, students, teachers who willingly talk about themselves - sharing their beliefs, dreams, fantasies, worries and regrets.
