The book examines both general issues of application of legislation on the protection of consumer rights (subjective composition of relations, the operation of the law over time, a system of methods for protecting consumer rights), and the specifics of protecting consumer rights when concluding certain types of contracts: on participation in shared construction, loan agreement, voluntary property insurance, provision of tourist services, medical care. Procedural aspects of consideration of this category of disputes are analyzed in detail: the procedure for filing claims, jurisdiction of cases, distribution of responsibilities for proof, collection of a fine for refusal to satisfy consumer demands in pre-trial order. The material has been prepared taking into account the latest changes in legislation, as well as generalizations of the practice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation published as of May 23, 2013.
