Paul Fournel is a journalist, diplomat, socialite, athlete, and, nevertheless, a well-known writer in France - an active participant in the ULIPO (Workshop of Potential Literature, founded by Raymond Queneau and François Le Lionnet), author of a number of novels and short stories collections. “Little Girls Breathe the Same Air We Breathe” is the writer’s most popular book, which tells about the world of teenage girls with extraordinary accuracy and truthfulness, verified simplicity and, at times, harsh lyricism. As it turns out, this world is not much different from the world of adults (as evidenced by the two other books included in this collection) - except that there is nothing random or not worthy of attention in it.
