Faina Georgievna Ranevskaya is a Soviet theater and film actress who played several dozen roles on stage and about thirty in films during her sixty-year career. Known for her phrases, most of which have become catchphrases. Faina Ranevskaya was repeatedly offered to write memoirs and was even paid an advance. She started, gave up and returned the money, and when she was asked to write about Akhmatova, she replied that “there is also a posthumous execution, these are the memories of her “best” friends.” However, once Ranevskaya finally brought her book of memoirs to the end. She worked on it for three years, and then... destroyed it, saying that no one would allow her to write the whole truth about herself, and she didn’t want to lie. You can read about Faina Ranevskaya endlessly - you will either be very sad, or incredibly funny, but never bored! The book was also published under the title “Faina Ranevskaya. The love of a lonely mocker"
