In 1944, Nazi Germany used the latest types of weapons on the fronts, which had no analogues among its opponents: cruise and ballistic missiles, anaerobic submarines, and jet aircraft. The sky over the Reich was supposed to be covered by installations of directed electromagnetic radiation, instantly turning any aircraft into a ball of flame. Such an experimental installation of an electromagnetic emitter was built in Central Norway. The Nazi plans were thwarted by a daring raid by North Sea paratroopers under the command of former partisan Captain Nikolai Loskutov.
