Written in 1968 and expanded in 1995, the story/play tells an alternative story of the celebration in the USSR of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution of 1917.

And now there are television cameras under the roofs all over Leningrad (which temporarily returned its old name), the police are dressed as policemen, the workers of the Kirov plant are responsible for the storming of the Winter Palace, General Krasnov’s cavalry, consisting of students and technical school students, is rushing towards St. Petersburg. The Hermitage employees are enrolled in the women's battalion and cadets, Lenin, discharged from Moscow, is making his way through the streets, the Aurora is being brought into position - the weapon has been calibrated and aimed by electronic engineers... But then Russian reality intervened!
