Having gone through the crucible of life's trials, having experienced disappointments and failures, she and the other heroes of the book find their happiness in their homeland, among people who, at first glance, are insignificant, but in critical situations they reveal both talent and spiritual greatness. Both novels are not only entertaining in plot: their author shines with erudition and, while entertaining the reader, enriches him with a mass of interesting information. At the same time, the novels are easy and pleasant to read, thanks to Locke’s unique style - confidential and at the same time ironic, imbued with purely English humor.
