The book “Fifty Reasons Why I am a Homeopath” was written by one of the largest homeopaths of the second half of the 19th century. Dr. James Compton Burnett (1840–1901). Published almost 120 years ago, it still attracts great interest today. In an easy and accessible form, Burnett talks about the history of his transition to homeopathy, gives successful examples from his practice, shares his views on allopathy and homeopathy and his thoughts on the place of the latter in medicine. Although the book is addressed to a wide range of readers, even experienced homeopaths will find a lot of interesting things in it, especially with regard to the use of drugs rarely found in practice.
