The monograph is devoted to the mutual transformations of literature and science in some texts of representatives of the St. Petersburg branch of the formal school, which arose in literary criticism on the eve of the revolution. The problems of the methodological and philosophical genealogy of the formalists, the construction of a biography and a friendly professional circle, the innovative experiences of “self-awareness” of critical writing by Viktor Shklovsky and the work of Boris Eikhenbaum in intimate prose genres are considered. The main character of the book, again, as for the formalists themselves at an early stage of their existence, is literariness - a now discarded and obscure concept, which in fact refers to their own scientific creativity. For a wide range of humanists - cultural scientists, philologists, historians (of art).< /p>
