The publication of the complete collection of works, letters and biographical materials of I.V. Kireevsky and P.V. Kireevsky is being undertaken for the first time. Ivan Vasilyevich Kireevsky (March 22/April 3, 1806 - June 11/23, 1856) and Pyotr Vasilyevich Kireevsky (11/ February 23, 1808 - October 25 / November 6, 1856) are outstanding Russian thinkers who laid the foundation for an original Russian philosophy based on the living Orthodox faith and the experience of Eastern Christian asceticism. The first volume includes the philosophical works of I. V. Kireevsky and the historical and journalistic works of P. V. Kireevsky.
