Continuation of the novel “Two Steps from Eternity.” The rulers of the world, calling themselves the “World Council,” strike back, and not only Mexico, but the whole world is engulfed in a civil war, in which there are many fronts and only isolated pockets of peace. The global revolution is drowning in blood: weapons of the 20th century against the network-centric armies of the future, living soldiers against self-learning and self-replicating swarms of drones... A hybrid war is no longer of states, but of suprastate structures and corporations on land, in cities and in space. Terrorists, hackers, extremists of all stripes, radicals and reactionaries, mercenaries and fanatics, as well as ordinary representatives of plankton, who for many years were forced to fight only in the virtual, have taken the path of the long-awaited real war. The last war for what the new world will look like. Or the first war of a completely new type. And everyone, on different sides of the barricades, is trying to survive in this whirlpool, postponing personal plans for later. For the future. But what will it be like, this future?

Author's notes: The book was completed in January 2020. This is not a clean draft, but not a raw draft either. But since I will be completely occupied with the “Black Day” series for the next year or two, I decided to publish this book “as is.” Moreover, some readers are interested in finding out what happens next.
