Thrown into prison on a false charge of treason, not broken by the torture and bullying of Yezhov’s accomplices, Divisional Commander Rokossovsky is released without betraying or slandering anyone. However, despite complete rehabilitation, no one is in a hurry to return command of the corps to him.
