Ludwig Klages is one of the younger German philosophers who trace their ideological kinship to Friedrich Nietzsche. The works and ideas of this brilliant thinker are almost unknown in Russia. The reason for this lies not in the lack of originality or in the insignificance of Klages's work. The fact is that they tried hard to forget him. The reason for this was actually the visionary thoughts expressed on the pages of Klages’s works. He not only inspired the environmental movement long before its emergence, but also showed that soul and Spirit are not just not the same thing, they are opposite phenomena. He believed that the Spirit subjugates a person, deprives him of life - these words take on a new, relevant sound in the conditions of the current almost universal dehumanization of life. The work “Cosmogonic Eros”, which was published in 1922, was the starting point for the creation of complex and not always understandable constructions, but it is this work that will begin the journey into the world of images created by a man who is considered the greatest metaphysician of the 20th century.
