The name of Maxim Dulentsov belongs to a number of bright and, of course, original phenomena in modern Perm literature. The development of a writer occurs rapidly, hence the author’s noticeable reluctance to limit himself to the ideological and artistic framework of the chosen genre. The work offered to the reader - the novel "Diamat" - is defined by the literary consciousness as "adventurous-mystical", and this is a truly fascinating narrative that follows a sometimes sharply accelerating and surprising plot. But the philosophical component also determines a lot in the novel; it stands behind the characters, latently informs them of mental pain, tossing, and forces them to act. Hence the strong and unpleasant thoughts that visit the heroes, the adrenaline of risk and the characters’ sense of the eternal symbolic meanings of their aspirations. The action of the novel draws on the tragic periods of Russian history of the 20th century and thus enhances the instability of the existence of modern Russia. The atmosphere of the novel is imbued with a sense of danger and intense responsibility for what is happening. The book is addressed to a wide range of readers over 18 years of age.
