Ward Littell, a lawyer working for the FBI, arrives in Dallas on the day of JFK's assassination. His task is to interfere with the investigation and hide evidence exposing the organizers of the assassination attempt - people associated with the mafia. In this he is helped by Pete Bondurant, a contract killer and drug dealer, a participant in CIA military operations in Cuba. At the same time, police officer Wayne Tedrow finds himself in Dallas, looking for a black pimp, whom he was offered to kill for six thousand dollars. Over the next five years, these three find themselves involved in various criminal adventures, including heroin trafficking in Vietnam, illegal supplies of American weapons to Cuba, murder Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy, as well as a deal between billionaire Howard Hughes and the mafia, the subject of which was the city of Las Vegas.
