The book combines works dedicated to the last novel by F.M. Dostoevsky. Collected together, they complement each other and, going beyond the narrow framework of specific topics and tasks, explain the overall picture from different angles. The first part includes the monograph “The Poetics of the Novel “The Brothers Karamazov,” which is included in the golden fund of world dostoevistics. The second part combines articles previously published in scientific collections or collective works of the Institute of Russian Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences: “Pater Seraphicus”, “Symbolism of Numbers”, “The Ideal of Madonna”, etc. The third part of the book is occupied by a real commentary on the novel, prepared for 14 and 15 volumes of the academic Complete Works of the writer, significantly expanded and supplemented in recent years.
