For the first time published in Russian, the story of the cult Japanese writer Shuhei Fujisawa (1927–1997) “The Story of a Bodyguard” tells about the adventures of a young samurai from a small clan, who, by the will of fate, was involved in one of the most famous episodes of Japanese history - the “incident with the ronin from Ako." Thanks to his martial art, strong and noble character, he comes out of the most dangerous situations with honor and fulfills his duty to the end.
