The work is called “Procedure”, and it comprehensively examines the process of executions, the technology of executions, the identities of the perpetrators of death sentences, and their fates. Also considered are related issues relating to the terminology used by security officers to denote this aspect of their activities, as well as various kinds of excesses that arise before, during and after the execution of sentences (escapes, bullying of those sentenced, accidental discovery of bodies by ordinary people). Author of the books “Impenetrable Depths”, “Machine of Terror”, “Stalin’s Guardsmen”, as well as a number of articles on the same topic (repressions and the history of the activities of “organs” in Siberia).
