Many years ago I corresponded with a young girl. She lived in St. Petersburg, there were no options for a real meeting, they just corresponded. She was getting ready to get married, the groom lived there and worked as a dentist. And once she tells me that her groom told her that he had 70 women before her, but she would be his last, as his beloved wife. On a day off I went to work, took a piece of paper, and began to remember. I don’t even remember some people by name, but I added them to this list based on situations and some details. In general, it seems that I haven’t forgotten anyone. At that time, I had accumulated about 60. And I answered this girl that since I, who is not very rich and handsome, living in the provinces, had accumulated so much, then the number of 70 of her fiancé seemed to me a quite probable value. And the list I spent half a day fiddling with , it became a pity to throw it away. Yes, and serious emotions awoke while I was remembering. I copied it into a notebook and began to write further.
