Actually speaking, my role in this publication is purely courier. I brought the manuscript to the editorial office, and then everything happened on its own. The story of our acquaintance with the author is simple. At the end of December, the results of the “Debut” literary competition, of which I was a member of the jury, were summed up. The maximum age of the contestants was strictly limited to twenty-five years.

In the “short prose” category, the winner and, without exaggeration, a discovery was Denis Osokin from Kazan. The charm of his impeccably stylish, sophisticated, yet surprisingly sincere prose captivated not only the jury, but, what is more difficult to imagine, the participants themselves, who were Denis’s competitors in the fight for a very material prize.

Honestly, I have up to I still can’t quite wrap my head around how a very young author could, with such authenticity and almost hypnotic persuasiveness, recreate the design, speech structure, if you like, the very smell of time, from which, whatever one may say, he is separated by a distance of several of his own. lives.
