Chaplin became a legend during his lifetime - a living legend of cinema. And today, when the number of Hollywood “stars” is already comparable to the number of stars in the sky, he still remains the symbol of cinema, or rather, the immortal image he created - Charlie, an absurd little man in huge boots with a small mustache and huge sad eyes. In comic short films from the turn of the century, dozens of characters fell, tumbled, and threw cream cakes at each other. Charlie did this too. But in his films, the hero increasingly sought not only to make the viewer laugh, but also to awaken good feelings in him. Over time, cinematography has evolved from simple fun into high art - and we all owe this not least to the genius of Charles Chaplin.
