In this two-volume work, the epistolary heritage of the holy righteous John of Kronstadt, which is an integral part of his works, is presented with the completeness possible today. In letters from different years to various persons, of a business or personal nature, the spiritual image of a fiery servant of the Church, a good shepherd and tireless temple builder, an all-Russian prayer book and miracle worker appears with particular expressiveness.

Some of these letters were previously published, but most published for the first time. The publication is supplied with the necessary notes on the letters, as well as indexes of names and place names (at the end of the second volume), which, in the opinion of the publishers, could help the pious reader to receive the greatest spiritual benefit.
