The great English playwright William Shakespeare wrote more than ten comedies. Their plots are different, but they have something in common - unbridled fun, sometimes interspersed with sadness, and extraordinary heroes who are united by will, a sharp mind, a desire for independence and a crushing love of life. These include romantic fairy tales, charming adventures, sitcoms and grotesque fables. But the most interesting thing about them is the depiction of the quirks of the human heart, what can be called the weirdness of love. This edition includes Shakespeare's most famous comedies: “The Taming of the Shrew”, “A Midsummer Night's Dream”, “Twelfth Night, or Whatever”, “Much Ado About Nothing” and others. The book is accompanied by classic illustrations by the 19th century American artist Felix Darley.
