Michael Rogan, an American intelligence officer, was sent to France behind the German army at the end of World War II. Unexpectedly, Rogan falls in love with the daughter of his hospitable host and even marries her. Blinded by his happiness, the scout loses his vigilance. As a result, his entire reconnaissance group, including his pregnant wife, falls into the clutches of the Nazis. Having learned that Rogan was collecting intelligence in favor of the Allies, the Gestapo subjected his wife to severe torture. The scout himself miraculously escapes from the dungeon. And now, ten years later, full of nightmarish memories of the painful death of his wife and unborn son, Michael returns to Europe. He intends to find his executioners so that they can finally experience everything that his beloved had to endure. And even seven times more.
