For many years, Johann Cabal, a scientist, skeptic and extremely rational man, worked towards one noble goal - to defeat death itself. To do this, he made a contract with the devil, but now he wants to break the contract. Satan, depressed by the endless line of sinners and the monstrous hellish bureaucracy, out of boredom offers Johann a deal: the necromancer must convince 100 people to voluntarily condemn themselves to eternal torment in the underworld, otherwise he will be damned forever. To fulfill the agreement, the Cabal has exactly one year and the Circus of Discord, an ideal organization for taking souls. Having recruited the resurrected dead as assistants, the Cabal sets off on the road. But he soon realizes that getting out of such a difficult situation will be much more difficult for him than it seemed at first glance. After all, when you have no sense of humor, when your assistants can easily fall off an arm or leg in the middle of a performance, when communication seems like torture, and people stubbornly refuse to part with their immortal capital, it is very difficult to manage the Circus. But there’s not much time left, the Cabal doesn’t have a second chance, so we’ll have to improvise.
