The second book of local history essays, which, after the first, retained its title “Cry of Memory,” highlights the history of radio and television in our region, talks about remarkable countrymen engineers; builders of river ships and railway bridges; electricians, mechanics and geologists: about the creators of nuclear icebreakers and the world's first nuclear power plant in Obninsk; about aircraft designers - authors of “flying tanks” and jet fighters. It contains information about Siberian space explorers, rare finds of old household appliances in attics and sheds, and the exhibitions of the Museum of the History of Science and Technology of the Trans-Urals. Some materials reflect the 100th anniversary of the birth of certain technical achievements: radio, long-distance telephone communication, Russian gramophone record, cathode ray tube, X-ray equipment.
