There are many ships, very interesting both in design and in fate, but unfortunately, forgotten. The book tells about representatives of the class of cruisers during the Second World War. The famous Czech historian R. Greger called them “special purpose cruisers”; these were relatively small ships with a displacement of 2 to 4 thousand tons, designed to perform special tasks. In the book you will meet minelayer cruisers, cruisers-leaders of destroyer flotillas, cruisers -transports. Most of them took part in the war, and those that remained on stocks or in projects are also of interest to shipbuilding historians - many interesting technical solutions were used in their design.
