The twenties and thirties of the last century became a time of severe trials for Armenia. In the figurative expression of the writer, the country found itself “between a rock and a hard place,” subject to the unfounded claims of Turkey, on the one hand, and Azerbaijan, on the other. The Armenian people experienced the full oppression of the then Azerbaijani rulers. People were expelled from their native villages, robbed and physically humiliated. Against the backdrop of these formidable historical events, the authors of the book depict the fate of the faithful son of Armenia, Madat Osipov. A boy attending school in the village of Karachinar, a young man who became a student at a Moscow institute, a persistent party member who believes in the bright future of his homeland - all these facets of the fate of one person are highlighted before the eyes of the reader. He gave his strength, intelligence and devotion to the struggle for the independence of Armenia. And he fell, struck down by the hand of the enemies of his people. The descendants of the glorious Armenian dynasty carefully preserve the memory of their heroic ancestors, including Madat Osipov.
