The corpus of letters published below is an interesting page from the history of emigration. The inspirer of the “Parisian note” had a lot to talk about with the author of the book “The Unnoticed Generation”, despite the difference in age and position in society. In emigration, Adamovich was among the writers of the older generation, or, as Z.N. defined it. Gippius belonged to the middle “half-generation”, which served as a link between the elders and the younger. Varshavsky is the author of the definition of “unnoticed generation”, in the book of the same name he gave his portrait, by which emigrant youth are now most often judged...
