The historical novel “The Fable of the Battlefields” highlights little-known events in the Golden Horde and Muscovite Rus' before the Battle of Kulikovo for the general reader. It was preceded by two major battles between the Rus and the Tatar-Mongols: in 1377, when a large Russian army died on the Piana River; and in 1378 - on the Vozha River, where the horde of Temnik Begich fell. The book tells about these and other events. The novel is dynamic, fascinating, and tells in a new way about events in the history of the Russian state during the time of the Grand Duke of Moscow and Vladimir, later named Donskoy. The historical novel “The Fable of the Battlefields” was first published in 1991 (ed. “Children’s Literature”, Moscow ) and a year later became a bibliographic rarity, although its circulation was quite large.
