Jan Brustein was born in Leningrad shortly after the war. He has lived in Ivanovo for forty years. Poems and stories were published in the magazines “Znamya”, “Friendship of Peoples”, “Volga”, “Children of Ra”, “Zinziver”, “Siberian Lights”, “Day and Night”, “Khreshchatyk”, “Futurum Art”, Litgazeta, in the weekly "REVIEW" of the publishing house "Continent" (USA) in collections and almanacs. Member of the Union of Russian Writers and the Union of Writers of the 21st Century. Remarkable mastery of words, transparency and intelligibility of images. Oh, believe me, Ian has something to say in his poems. Without bitter cynicism, which is already becoming a sign of our time, without painful reflection and pathos. I would write that this is wisdom, but I’m afraid of scaring off too young a reader. That means experience. And, even if it sounds a little pompous, all the poems leave behind a very bright impression. Cover design, illustrations by the author. Nikolay Murashov (docking the mad dog)
